We hear such horror stories of dishonesty, ineptness and outright fraud here on Tug. I want to share the following:
Just wanted to share the excellent/honest/professional/responsive/knowledgeable service that I received from Jean Thoms (Paradise) and Aleta Hannum (Stewart) in my recent purchase of a Hyatt Sunset Harbor unit.
To begin with, Jean priced the unit sanely AND she understands the Hyatt system thoroughly (no easy feat !) . It came into my email as an alert I had signed up for previously (myresortnetwork.com) . I called right then and there (East Coast time). She called me back within the hour (Nevada time). I made a full price offer immediately.
I received the paperwork the next day (scanned to email). A little later, Jean discovered an error in the paperwork (long story re: the actual unit number due to a prior unit swap between between 2 owners - just a minor bump and it was on the part of the estate). She did her due diligence, contacted and updated me while she dealt with the attorneys of the estate. She handled all with professionalism and personal attention. We had a few laughs & mini-groans over this.
Aleta Hunnum of Stewart, Nevada office, was available and responsive to questions I had re: the closing paperwork. She was excellent.
I appreciated the professionalism, patience, knowledge, guidance and honesty that these two demonstrated. They were a joy to work with.
ETA: Oh, Jean even contacted Crystal at Hyatt to make sure that the unit was reserved for me next January. She really goes the extra mile !
