Anyone stay there ? TA gave it 4.5 stars.

RCI - Platinum - Just popped up while I was searching for something else. Dumb luck.

Wow ! Not sure if I'm going to take it, but I may be able to use it for part of a seminar or not. Will hold it until I figure out things. I have a great Marriott booked which is included in the 2 day seminar package and cannot be teased/subtracted out of the package hotel/seminar deal. Would like to stay in Chicago longer for sightseeing without changing hotels. Hmmmm, adult decisions.

Just nabbed this on RCI. There is more availability, but going fast and mostly now 2017 Jan - Mar left.

I believe the Bluegreen bought several units at the Blake hotel. Unfortunately looking at the floor plans it looks like a standard hotel room. Still looks very nice.

Yep, saw that and had hoped that it would have a kitchenette, but still, it's Chicago on the cheap-ish. :)

I haven't stayed there, but have a week booked there in December...got it for some ridiculously low number of points on RCI a while back. So please post a review if you do go....it gets good reviews on trip advisor and looks nice!

I visited my daughter who was staying there (in a standard room) and it was huge. It had Tall ceilings and nicely furnished. Also it has a pretty good location for downtown.

Thanks for the review.

It reminds me of the Mayflower in D.C. from what I can see by the online photos.

Will do. Yes, the TPUs were low for weeks. 11-13. Mine was 17 due to the May holiday, but still a deal IMHO.

Hi, Beags,

I've stayed there on a business trip, but it's been quite a while.
I loved it! Though an old building, (hence the tall ceilings & fairly ornately furnished), it felt somewhat luxurious. I know we paid a hefty co. rate for each night, so this is a great deal--wish I'd caught this myself.

Thank you for sharing your experience. Sounding better and better with each personal review.

I'd be happy to look for you if you aren't able to search in RCI weeks.

That's really well priced, though not sure if I want to be there Jan-Mar. Do they charge a daily resort fee on top of the weekly price?

I hear you on the dates, but if you have to go for any reason during these dates, this could be a good deal. Hopefully, more dates will open in nicer weather.

There is a one-time cleaning fee which may/may not be imposed.
"For all RCI points reservations: There may be a 45 U.S. dollars for Hotel, per stay. "

Parking is pricey as well, just like any major US city, from my experience.
Parking fee is 48 U.S. dollars.

Me, too.

I am greatly encouraged by our own Tuggers' reports as well as the TA reviews. An inexpensive stay in an expensive town. Works for me !

Again, quite reasonable even paying the cleaning fee. I will try to grab one outside Jan-Mar time-span...Thanks!

Beaglemom3, did you confirm Hotel Blake for the week? or release it? Did you get it with an RCI Weeks or RCI Points account?

We pay for RCI Platinum also.

I placed an OGS for all Chicago properties - four including Hotel Blake but it didn't match to the unit you were able to hold. We will be in the Midwest May 22 for a few days, then anywhere or near Chicago for a cruise departing Chicago Saturday, June 4.

We have both RCI Points account & RCI Weeks which has a deposits including a 363 TPU combined deposit. The accounts are RCI Platinum. I might call RCI tomorrow to ask why my OGS didn't create a hold/email. I can book Hilton Chicago for one week for 40,000 RCI Points but it is for a week I am not certain if we need to be in Chicago.

Anyone stay there ? TA gave it 4.5 stars.

all inventory is now gone....

Thanks to your sighting I was able to grab the last March week a couple of days ago, which checks in 2 weeks before my exchange to the Manhattan Club. I filled the week in-between with 7 days lodging in London at my favorite budget Earls Court hotel (w kitchenette) and booked all 4 travel segments with air miles. Truly a cheap 3-week vacation in what could be an expensive trip. Thanks again!
