Is it true one can skip the long lines when leaving STT if you have a Porter? If so, what is the cost? Thanks.

I have never used one in STT, but have used one in St. Maarten. You just paid him a tip of your choice.

Yes. It is 2 dollars( plus tip if you choose) a bag and you skip the line at customs and go to a separate security area because you don't have bags.

Since STT is open - you can judge whether you need a Porter when you get there - and if you are pressed for time, or don't want to deal with bags in the heat-humidity. I used them once when it was busy - gave the Porter $20 for 2 bags (iirc).

Same way at Harborside....If you pay a Porter... Customs just waves you through... even before those standing in line....
I've watched everyone while there... they look out for each other in the Bahamas...tipping even a dollar can save you lots of time.....
Respect and a few $$ ...can make your vacation a very HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY one ...
