$179 per night, conditions apply sounds like you need to sign up for a sales pitch for that rate.

Yep. The first thing listed in the "Terms and Conditions" is that you have to attend a 120 minute sales presentation.

Maybe we all ought to sign up and go terrorize their sales staff with FACTS!

All of the Tug VIPs taking them up on their kind offer would probably get thier marking person fired and they probally would not do that again anytime soon.

Well, maybe not. The still get $179 per night and it would be great experience for their sales team. Especially the more experienced one they probably would have on hand for the openings.

They still like meeting with my wife and now have started offering my eldest sone special incentives to go to a sales meeting. Do not know if I am persona non grata or not. Am retired now and have a temporary job in a out of area location, so timesharing has not been possable for me lately.

Do not worry, you will be forgiven at some point and wanted back. After all, you are getting to big in N.O. At least a former Senior Sales staff member nows the difference between you and me now. I have been mistaken for you sometimes but not this time.

The number of points per week are really high for the Desert Blue. A studio is 203 000 points, and the 4 BR Presidential is 700 000! The number of points needed are about 40-70% higher compared to the Grand Desert.

I wonder why? What's there to make it worth more? Is it just because the market will support points that high?

Although brand new, I agree that the points chart is very high for this resort. Having stayed at Wyndham Grand Desert, I think the pools look much nicer than that of Wyndham Desert Blue. Based on points charts, I would select Grand Desert again. That is if I wanted to stay at a Wyndham property in Las Vegas.

Las Vegas has many properties to choose from, and many different price points. I think this points chart is just too high. I hope they have specials?
