There has been a myth in the industry for over a decade that “All timeshare resale and rental advertising companies are the same.” Resorts Nationwide, Inc. has been leading the industry by developing and implementing new strategies to help Timeshare/Vacation Ownership Owners advertise for the last (six) 6 years. The company does additional advertising to draw individuals to our website where Owner’s timeshare’s are advertised. Follow the link to Florida Travel & Lifestyle magazine http://www.floridatravelusa.com/ or visit http://www.resortsnationwideinc.com. We challenge anyone who has posted negative information about Resorts Nationwide, Inc. specifically to show proof of their allegations All of the allegations that have been posted have been “in general” to the industry, not Resorts Nationwide specific.

We feel that we have been thrown into a category with companies that do not do anything but take money and run. Resorts Nationwide, adheres to the guidelines of the State of Florida and we do additional advertising to draw potential renters and buyers to our site.

As stated by the individuals that you “scared” into canceling, they were refunded without any recourse and we answered and returned their calls. That is not normal in the industry now is it

1) I removed the huge font from your post - we are not impressed by being yelled at.

2) The facts speak for themselves - if you charge a large upfront fee, you are a scammer - PERIOD.

3) Please be aware that you are NOT permitted to promote your company on TUG.

We have to disagree!!

So what your trying to imply is that a timeshare is like a used car and as soon as you purchase it the value goes down? That goes against everything the resort tells individuals when they purchase it right? What I do not understand is how timeshares are being bought, rented, and sold everyday, yet this forum wants to keep bashing timeshare resales.

Purchasing a timeshare can save individuals thousands of dollars on vacations and business meetings. Buying and renting a timeshare from existing owners helps owners, and instead of bashing time sharing you should be encouraging non timeshare owners to rent and purchase from existing owners. Try helping the industry instead of hurting the existing owners who are trying to rent and sell.

I agree that there are some companies out there that do not do anything but take timeshare owners money and run, however not everyone is the same. The reason people are required to pay up front is because of all of the regulations placed on businesses by the different agencies. When is the last time you saw a timeshare listed in a MLS magazine with a for sale sign out front?

Not Promoting/Defending

I was not promoting only defending ourselves. If you are going to allow individuals to post information that is not true and deceptive to our company, than we should be allowed to defend ourselves.

Again, we ask that you prove the allegations that you are making and directing towards Resorts Nationwide because at this point it is slander.

I am dying to hear this: please post an itemized list of the agency fees required to ADVERTISE a timeshare.

Once owned these: FirstFairway@Walden X 2; Lawai Beach; ManhattanClub; PuebloBonitoRose; 4 South Africa--now timeshare-free
So what your trying to imply is that a timeshare is like a used car and as soon as you purchase it the value goes down?
Yes

Timeshare salespeople tells many lies in their attempt to get people to buy.

Imply that they lose value on the day the right to rescind ends - yes because they do.

Goes against everything they imply at the scripted sales pitch? Yes. Because it is once again true.

Timeshares are bought, rented and sold everyday because they are hyped and sold at retail to often uninformed vacationers and because thousands of those buyers later realize they didn't get what was presented and now want out at almost any cost.

Informed resale purchase is the BEST way to get value from timeshare ownership. But dealing with anyone that demands money upfront to sell, rent or list a timeshare is taking advantage of desperate owners and should never be used. If they want more than $50 run away! It will almost certainly be more money lost if you pay. The nonsense about "regulations" (or escrow or listing fee or appraisal or whatever they are using this week as the catch phrase) is just that - nonsense meant to confuse you into paying them money before they do anything to sell/rent/advertise your timeshare. DON'T DO IT! You will regret trying to deal with these scam operations no matter how well they hard sell you into paying.

NEVER PAY AN UPFRONT FEE. NEVER.

Timeshare salespeople tells many lies in their attempt to get people to buy.

And upfront fee companies tell similar lies in order to get people to pay. The sad reality is that many timeshares are worth less than what the upfront fee scammers charge for their so-called advertising and other bogus services.

I've sold three timeshares and my total experses were about $100.
