Platinum Concierge

My wife was on the phone today with what was supposedly a Platinum Concierge service. I tried months ago and spoke to someone who struggled with English.

My wife informed me we are now shifted to an overseas call center

Is this were Vistana is at and why does someone want Vistana Platinum


We had great service and personal help for years and now we deal with foreigners.


Did we miss something---are the phone numbers changed and we failed to notice

So, you are talking about calling the Plat Starwood Hotel Concierge?

Because Platinum is a hotel status - not timeshare status.

As far as I know - the Vistana Owners Services office is still in Florida - completely different office, and they have basically the same staff that they had before the roll-over to Vistana.

They do have an Elite number - but it goes to Florida.

You raise a good question. We are unsure if we deal with Ownership or Hotel for a card

For whatever is worth, today I called both the SPG Platinum and Vistana Elite numbers and got US reps with perfect English. I assume they were US based because of the accent (or lack of).

Vistana (the timeshare branch) doesn't have "Platinum" - they have 3, 4, and 5 Star Elite.

Vistana doesn't have a credit card either - so it probably doesn't say "Vistana."

If it's Platinum, it is a Starwood Hotel Card - which is now completely separate (separate companies) from the timeshares.

Overseas

Just thought I would mention something that I found odd as well. I completed an upgrade and retro transaction about two months ago, and the documents were returned to me from Ireland, and not Orlando as I had expected. I guess things are changing.

That is interesting, didn't know Vistana or II had an office in Ireland.
