I'm sorry to be a pain, but I just found the TUG lounge, and under it says Archives. Doing a search of the text on the entire main page, the word Sightings does not appear. Help?
It is the "Sightings / Distressed" forum and it is directly beneath the TUG Lounge on the list of forums. You must be logged into TUG to see it, because it is a member's only feature.

You recently helped me with the same issue. In my case you had to point out that the TUG BBS code needed to be in my BBS profile. So, you might mention that requirement whenever someone says they can't see the Sightings forum to save some time. My problem was that when I signed up for TUG I received, as part of the welcome email:
At the time I was not using the BBS and by the time I started using the BBS I had forgotten about the code. Is it possible to have a BBS account without a TUG account? If not, then why is this code necessary? If the code does serve a purpose is there some way to automatically put it in someone's profile if they have a TUG account?
Since BzzyBee13 has "TUG Member" showing under their user name, he/she has already taken care of the member code, so I'm not sure why they aren't seeing the forum, unless they weren't logged in while looking.
The code is necessary to have access to the members only areas, and it is only provided to users who pay for a TUG membership. Some parts of TUG are for member's only and if you don't have the member's code added to your profile you can't see or access them - the main member's only areas are the TUG Reviews and the TUG Sightings & Distress Board.
You're right, I wasn't logged on. Sometimes I just browse and only log in if I'm posting. I didn't know there was a different view for members. Now I do, so thanks!
