The reservation that I want was unavailable for 5 days but yet showed up as available for 3 days and for the next 2 days separately. The unit size for both time intervals was the same. I don't understand why I couldn't get it for 5 days if the dates were contiguous and the room size and resort were the same?? Should I have called them? Is this some quirk of the online system? If it matters, it was the Tues.-Fri. of Thanksgiving week and then the Fri.-Sun. of Thanksgiving week. There was no way that I was making 2 reservations and paying 2 77 credit HK fees.

Maybe they came from two different deposits, or were made at two different times? So even though the net use is the same, the process to get there was different?

It's Wyndham, right? All bets are off. :)

They either belong to 2 different units. Or 2 seperate slot. Wyndham still handle it as week to week base, and if the unit start Sat to Sat, it may happen. Don't know if the resort will be able to find a way not move you. But as it stand, you will be ask for 2 77k. If you don't have enough just a little short for this year, you can move a little point from next year and carry enough HK for the trip. You will be prob make some 70k deposit to RCI next year to compansate the loss of HK. If it is different unit you will be moved, and since move out at 10 am and move in at 4:00 pm, it may not be pretty.

Another way is you will need to call VC and try to sweet talk to see if you can get waive one set.

Just Wyndham's method of pulling in more money. They'll get you on the extra fees, since there are two separate transactions...

As Jya-Ning suggests, this is probably two partial Friday weeks. Even at pure UDI resorts, the inventory is managed on a week-by-week basis.

Presuming this is Bonnet Creek: I've called the front desk in the past, and they've always said that they work very hard to make sure you do not move even if you have one of these straddled reservations. I'm told that if you do not have to move, you are credited back the second set of HK credits. That may not mean you are refunded money if you rent them, though---just that they are returned to your account.

Yeah, unless they return the HK to next year, this year really does not help since it is approach the end of year. On the other hand, OP maybe able to grab another FL vacation in a short time using borrow point after the trip.:D
