Celebrity Resorts Brigantine, New Jersey annual meeting

The annual meeting at Celebrity Resorts on Brigantine Beach will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, November 14th at the Inn--maybe. It's really important for members to attend in light of all the shenanigans that have been going on at sister Celebrity Resorts in Hawaii and Florida, including bankruptcy and foreclosure procedures and the illegal ouster of a HOA Board. Sound familiar? There's been extensive coverage in Timesharing Today Magazine. If you are a subscriber (or become one) you can read al the back issues on-line at www.tstoday.com . You need a username and password to access it.

I have been calling Brigantine for over a month and no one at the resort knew the time and date of the meeting, not even the manager. (It has been held in October the last couple of years after years of NO meetings). Last week the Manager finally gave me the 11/14 date and said there would be 2 meetings--one at 9:00 a.m. and one at 3:00 p.m. at the Inn.

I questioned the location because for the past few years it has been held a few miles away at a hard to find veteran's hall on a Friday morning. It seemed as if they were trying to discourage attendance but they underestimated the tenacity of this group of owners who arrived in droves during a heavy rainfall.

I questioned where they were going to fit all those people at the Inn this year and the manager, who is new, had no idea.

Today I received the annual maintenance fees bill along with a letter that says that the meeting will be held at the Inn at 9:30 a.m.. No mention of 3:00 p.m.. I again wonder where they will put all those people.

Sorry, correction--the meeting begins at 9:00 a.m..
 
I own there also. They have been calling about wanting to update info with me. Have you received these calls and if so, what are their real intentions? Thanks.
 
Jennie, did you get to the meeting? Any news? We are owners there but don't live close by anymore. We used to be very active with the Advisory Board before it was Celebrity.
