You & your family will be in my prayers. I just went through this with my husband, who is now in remission. There are lots of resources out there - do take advantage of any you think will help. You're not in this alone!

We have gone through what MelBay has also. Pam is aware of this and I have said several prayers specifically for her recently. The key is that you are not alone - you have many online friends who have been praying for you since you posted this. I wish you a speedy recovery. I look forward to the day that I see a post from you one one of several TS Boards.

The GM Acapulco will still be there. You can go one of these days.

thank you all for your prayers and well wishes and thoughts. i survived the surgery despite complications that led to a second short surgery. the 3-4 day hospital stay resulted in an 11 day stay. i did have a nice garden view though, a safe in the room, room service for one, AI for one. hubby slept on couch in room and was supplied with clean sheets daily. what a trooper staying with me....we pretended we were in our planned destination Acapulco.....lol. we decided we do not wish to retrun to this resort again lol, no matter how nice it was..

i was discharged from hospital last monday and had 3 dr. appts in Guad. this past friday. another slight complication with drain and lymph nodes, so drain was removed, but compression bandages back on and a sling to right arm to prevent use...so thus i am typing leftie and am a rightie, so sorry for errors and such....

i return to dr. in a week when i hope to get rid of sling a few days before start of chemo.....

once again thank you to all....the banner will be on its way to carolbob, tuesday. hubby had to return to states so he will get it out after holiday tomorrow.

we cancelled 4 weeks of vacation......Acapulco & Ixtapa/Zihua. in May....one was timeshare member week, so resort is holdimg my week for me until whenever..no charge. the other RCI, belive refunded my week for use within 6 month or something,,,,have to check on the exacts on this.....

also cancelled week in july to paradisevillage in nuevo vallarta member, ability to deposit into II for use another time..and RCI exchange this one returned to mt acct they say and fees refunded....

I will check on these RCI weeks when i can..so we did not take a loss it seems least on the vacations finances.

i will post when i can.....sure miss you all....stay healthy and thanks again for your thoughts, prayers, and support.

hasta pronto.....stay healthy and enjoy your vacations......

Hi Pam,

Good to see you up and posting again! Love your sense of humor re the AI resort with clean sheets. I hope you aren't the one who gets the bill

Keep getting better every day, and you'll be able to take those vacations that are being held for you.

Hugs

Pam,

Welcome back! I've been quietly counting the days. We'll happily put up with your leftie typing. Heck mine is hunt & peck about half the time. Sorry to hear that it didn't go without some difficulties, but it sounds like you are in good hands. Our last trip to Guadalajara, we ran into some American young people who were there going to medical school. They told us it is one of the best and most modern.

Continued good luck to you. Hurry and get well so you can get back to the beach.

Pam, I missed this thread completely  but was wondering too how you were and a TS4MS member even started a thread tonight to find out if anyone had heard from you. You were in our thoughts.

What a pity that you had to cancel your trip to Acapulco and also your trip to Paradise Village in PV but the operation is behind you now and you will get stronger every day so you can start traveling again. :)

Pam,
Glad to see you posting here again, I"ve been thinking of you.
Sorry about the complications, but glad that things are progressing and moving in a better direction.
I even wanted to buy some loto tickets in your name, :cheer: but I guess you will have to do that for yourself as that just didn't seem possible .

Yes, ITA, no going back to that resort!
You are still in my thoughts,
Irene

Oh Pam, I am so happy to hear from you. I've been thinking of you constantly. Sorry about the complications but hopefully things will go forward from here. Get well and you will be able to choose your view and your own menu. You will remain on my prayer list. Thanks for the update.

Pam,

Glad to hear the surgery is over. I told my mother about you and she is praying for you too. My mother had Ovarian Cancer stage 4, nine years ago. She died twice on the table during surgery, had many reactions to medications, had a difficult fight because of her age (70) and the stage of her cancer. As a cancer survivor she has these words of wisdom for you.

Right now after just coming through surgery and facing possible chemo, you might feel discouraged, but be encouraged. You CAN make it through...and come out of this place. Right now, you may feel it is a big obstacle in front of you because the body is weak after surgery, but you can come through this surgery, chemo and come out the other end. Be encouraged, with God's help you can make it through this dark place.

We will continue to pray for you!
Blessings,
Dorene

I was so glad to find your post today! I too have been praying for a great recovery. Luvsvacation22's mom gave you some awesome advice - take it to heart.

I will be watching for future posts from you. You are a great friend to many of us and we do not care if you have mispelled words from typing "leftie". We just want to know that you are recovering. :)

You have been, and will be in my daily prayers. Sounds like you have a wonderful attitude and I firmly believe that is a huge part of getting yourself into remission. Let us know if you have any questions - sounds like there are many here who have been down this (or a similar) road. Hang in there - you can do this! :cheer:

Pam,
It wonderful to see you posting. While it's no walk in the park, chemo has come a long way. I'll continue to keep you in my prayers through this next step towards you're recovery.

Pam, it's so good to read your posts. With each one you sound better and better. That's so cool that your son is there to help you. I'm sure your positive attitude will do much to get you through whatever comes next. I'm still praying for you.

Dear Pam,
I just read your message and am so saddened to hear of your diagnosis. I lost my husband to an agressive lung cancer in December and it stopped our travel but more even our lives. You are in my prayers. I witnessed so many breast cancer survivors while he was having chemo....and have many colleagues who have had one or both breasts removed and are recovered and "back in the game" as I know you will be. My thoughts and prayers are with you. I will be taking my kids to Cabo in July.....and we will all do our share to help the economy. I hope to get back to PVR this winter. It is where my heart is....just need to get some family or friends to come along.
I wish you God's Blessing and a speedy recovery. We never know what curves life will throw us. For sure, we must cherish every day. You will be fine...I don't know how I know this but I do!!:)
