Just came back from a visit at Mom's and her sprinklers did a number on my car. Hard water spots on the entire side of the car, tire rims and windows. Does anyone have a suggestion for removing these spots without damaging the finish on the car?

Would vinegar work? I know it's what you use to clean hard water deposits out of a coffee pot.

If this is a nice car, you should take it to a detailing shop and let them do it. If it's old or not that great to begin with, go to an auto supply store and see what they sell to do-it-yourselfers.
