I would be patient as Bigrob said. If Wyndham does enforce the rule and resale contracts no longer get VIP benefits. It will probably lower the demand for resale and put more contracts on the market at the same time. Wyndham isn't going to do anything to help resale. They want contracts turned over to them through Ovation

I did not know that resale points ever qualified toward VIP benefits... For some reason I thought only developer purchased points qualified toward VIP... But I still don't have a clue about the points I purchased in eBay, I figured on just booking at CWA reports 13 months in advance, and that's it... TUG is amazing, there are timeshare geniuses here!!!

Never said count towards obtaining VIP!! If you are VIP through qualified purchases and also have resale points under the same member number they ALL get VIP benefits currently. That may change but it's a fact today

Sorry, they don't. Some, not all, and those are loopholes. Never did resale have VIP benifits. VIP owner who bought developer points have VIP benifits!!!!

And their resale points do not have VIP benifits, they do.

You earn VIP privileges by buying direct, most of those privileges are extended to resale.

It seems like a very little if any importance, but as consideration for your money,one has the privileges extended to their account. When push comes to shove,. Can Wyndham take away the privilege of VIP? For instance, resale contracts for CWA status no longer transfer.

Yes, I believe since they never formally attached the privileges to resale accounts, it would be within their discretion to discontinue.
