Not exactly. You can get discounted rates at those locations using your Wyndham ownership member number.
You can deposit your vacation ownership points into RCI to stay at AVAILABLE timeshare locations not owned by Wyndham.
I have read two articles that state a year or two ago Wyndham opened the option to use points to get normal hotel rooms that are part of the Wyndham family. One person said they get them for 9k to 15k a night and the other said it was a flat 15k a night no matter the level of hotel. I really need to confirm this. It's a big part of how I might need to use some points to justify buying in. There isn't always a resort near where we go for church events we go to yearly, and transferring into RCI combined with points makes it no better than just renting someone else's slot.
Using standard hotel /suite for a couple of the trips we do annually, my wife and I figured 206k points for what we would use on an annual basis. So a 210-225k plan would fit us well. I found a 210k plan on eBay for the Fairfield bay resort that is only 90/m fees. Before I buy I have to know how I can use these points and make sure they fit what we will do.
Otherwise this will not work.
