Worldmark has Phuket Thailand, why not Wyndham

Ok why does Worldmark have access to a Wyndham in Phuket, that is label a Wyndham, yet Wyndham has NO access to this property.

Appears, as it relates to timeshares, this is a Wyndham Asia Pacific resort. It appears the use agreement would be between Worldmark and Wyndham Asia Pacific.

This Wyndham Vacation Resort Asia Pacific property is an affiliate resort and is not a part of WorldMark, The Club.

If Wyndham Vacation Resorts and Wyndham Asia Pacific wanted to make arrangements to cross use some inventory, I assume they could. On the Wyndham Vacation Resorts reservation site, I noticed some resorts under a "Asia Pacific" heading.

Yes and a handful of these are in Wyndham Points not even Club Pass. I also noticed a new Brazil property listed recently.

why not.. Club Wyndham and Worldmark the club are still two completely different systems. Why didnt they put some of Clearwater, New York and Chicago into Worldmark, or part of the new Worldmark Texas resorts into Club Wyndham... The answer is that they just didnt

I do not know anything about Wyndham Asia Pacific, but if you are interested in this region of the world, maybe a small contract with them.

WM bought resell does not have direct access to WMSP. To have direct access to WMSP you either have to have WM+A Credits (bought prior to November 2006) or WM Travel Share (bought from Developer).

On a similar note, WM has access to numerous WMSP resorts and Wyndham only has a few of them available.

And I believe the answer to Ron's question is more tied to the cloud of then on-going Wixon litigation. Other than the resorts developed prior to Wixon (Ocean Walk, South Shore, etc) - how many shared resorts were added while the lawsuit was progressing i.e. 2007-2011ish.

If WM's affiliate resort agreements are anything like WYN's, it won't matter, as there will only be a handful of units available to WM owners.

The answer is simply that there is no requirement that every Wyndham location be a shared resort in both WorldMark and Club Wyndham.

If you want to visit this resort, the US dollar is so strong now versus the Thai baht that you can get as good a deal booking directly with the resort using USD as the currency as you would through a WorldMark ownership using WorldMark credits as the currency, because WM credits are priced in US dollars.

By comparison WM has access to 23 WMSP resorts in Australia plus the two in NZ.

We are primarily WM Owners. We have traveled to New Zealand twice and Australia twice. We have never had a problem getting a Unit in WMSP. We have stayed at Rotarua (twice), 7 Mile Beach (Tasmania), Sydney (twice), and Coffs Harbour. Last year we did a 4 week swing - Rotarua, Paihia (RCI Exchange), 7 Mile Beach, and Sydney.
