I am looking to sell my Westgate property, I have been looking into the DIY method and LTRBA. Are there any types for doing it DIY or specific questions I should ask a LTRBA representative? Thank you

Unfortunately, you will have a tough time just to give it away. Westgate treat resale owners terribly. Making it almost impossible to use without jumping through multiple hoops.

Doesn't mean you won't but just be prepared.

You can try the free give away method here on TUG:

http://tugbbs.com/forums/index.php?threads/how-can-i-give-away-my-timeshare-on-tug.132509/

You can also try asking if the resort will take it back:

http://tug2.net/timeshare_advice/give_back_timeshare.html

You can also try contacting ltrba.com but they will probably tell you what Mad Dog just told you. Your TS has no resale value and LTRBA will not be worth your time and vice versa.

Just remember not to pay any company an upfront fee to sell your TS or any of these firms that claim they can cancel or get you out of your timeshare.

Make sure you are contacting the right people when you request a deed back. You have to contact the Homeowners' Association,, not some phone answering person at the front desk. One thing you might want to do when requesting a deed back is to say quite firmly that you are not paying another penny in MFs and that it would be in everyone's best interests for the HOA to take it back, perhaps with you paying the closing costs.

They might take that more seriously realizing that it is cheaper and easier for them to take it back than it is to foreclose on a delinquent account.
