At first glance, it appears the name is just a clever way to get the word "timeshares" into the URL, and using the Spanish ".es" is how they did it.

Now back to the OP's inquiry. The OP said that "after looking at the site, it appears they do buy outright".
That wouldn't make sense. Right now, and for probably many years to come, there are hundreds (if not, thousands) of
free TSs available such as on E-bay, TUG's Bargain Basement, etc. Many of these have the closing costs and next MF absorbed by the seller. So if this company were really looking to buy timeshares, why would it spend resources advertising when E-bay is just a few clicks away.
And if they can get free ones on E-bay with closing costs and next MF paid, do you think they're
really going to pay someone lots of money to buy a similar timeshare?
