What was to have been a quiet day started with AT&T rousting us from bed so they could access the telephone pole through our locked back yard to deal with a problem a neighbor was having. Shortly thereafter we found that neither toilet would flush and that they were backing up into the shower in one bathroom, and tub in the other. Cliff found the link above, which makes our clog seem like not quite so much of an issue.

I'm confused. How did the telephone pole keep your toilets from flushing?

Obviously, the telephone pole has been there for a number of years, and the roots grew into the sewer line. Duh! :D

Or the folks have a septic system in back yard and ATT truck crushed pipe to system or if on town sewer the line crossed the backyard with same results from ATT truck, or plugged sewer was just coincidental to ATT visit. Hopefully just coincidental plug
