Vidanta - RCI resort fee update - Nov 2016

It looks like the resort fee at Vidanta using RCI is now the same as ll
for NV and RM- $ 11 per person per day .

I checked Nov 16 2016 - not sure when RCI changed it
Interval International changed Sept 1 2016

ACA, PV &PP are $ 7 pp pd

Maz & Cabo & 3 SG - (still / currently ) say extra fees for gym, wifi ,parking etc

We just returned from Mayan Palace PV (Marina) through an RCI exchange and we were prepared to pay the $7 pp pd resort fee that was noted on our confirmation. Upon getting our bill at checkout, there was no resort fee charged at all. That was a nice surprise.

We paid the $75 for last week at GM using a SFX bonus week.

Our Thanksgiving week for 2017 through II still had the $75 fee for that week. (It is in writing on the confirmation.) The best part about this one is that it is a Getaway that I got on sale for $379 for a 2-bedroom GM unit which is significantly less than any MF.

We are here currently through II and will be next week, our MF for this weeks getaway is $75 for a two bedroom and we paid only $329 and then next week we exchanged into a 2bedroom in Grand Luxxe with the same $75.

The important bit of information is when you confirmed the exchange. Supposedly the fee change isn't/ effective unless you made the exchange through II after Sept 1, 2016 or through RCI after November 1, 2016.

I have an exchange for next August that I made in July of 2016. I expect to pay the $75 fee. It is for a 3 br Grand Luxxe. I wouldn't mind adding another week but at $66 resort fee per day for 6 adults, I am looking for somewhere else.
