I am a priority RCI member and I have a one bedroom unit reserved using 17 TPU's. I am now within the two week period that if a 2 bedroom unit becomes available (which I have requested through my priority membership) will they ask me for more TPU's, extra money or do they just say it's mine. Tried this before and never got the upgrade but I guess it doesn't hurt to keep trying.

Did you mean you're a Platinum member? I think you had to have clicked something that you would have been interested in an upgrade. You can pick your resorts, acceptable size, and acceptable check in dates. No extra fees (or TPU's) for Platinum members. And it should be automatic if something does come up. But I have no faith in RCI actually ever following through on this or a larger unit ever becoming available.

I believe they do an auto check for the upgrade once per day during the 14 day period. If you happen to see it available during business hours, you may be able to call and have an agent do it manually.
Thank you both so much for your help. Yes I did mean a Platinum member. Never had any luck before with an upgrade (looking for 2 BR this time) but now I'm in the14 day period and I hope something comes up.

I was upgraded once, a couple of years ago, from a 1 BR to a 2BR, at SSR in Disney. It was a nice surprise. I have not been upgraded since. We are Platinum members.
I was upgraded in October from a studio to a 2-br - no additional TPUs or costs incurred. It was sweet!

I only tried once for an upgrade and received it. Went from a unit on the east coast of Florida to Sanibel. It was for a mid November week.
