I have not tested trading power in a long while but it seems to have changed. I cannot see October weeks at Hyatt Coconut Plantation with a 1BR MGV Thanksgiving or a 2BR MMC March 12 but I can with a 1BR Willow Ridge July. They seem to be putting a much greater emphasis on the demand of the week rather than the resort and size.

The 2BR MMC was a usage replacement so Marriott may have deposited it at 61 days out.

I can never figure these seasonal trading power things out, so I don't worry about it. I have always subjectively felt than resort and size were the most important and I would be surprised if that has changed a lot. But I really don't know because it is not one of those things that I have great interest in.

How can you see an Hyatt Coconut Plantation in October when Hyatt are depositing August at this moment (6 months from today as usual) ?

I could see them because they were there. I am also staying at Hyatt Coconut Plantation this July on an exchange I did last October. If that rule is in place there must be some exceptions to it.

Odd. I only saw August weeks this am and I was searching with an Easter week 3 bedroom at surfwatch which can see all the crystal shores deposits even.
What time did you see the October weeks?

Did you get it with an OGS because all weeks I saw for July 2017 (I saw every Sat and Sun of July 2017) I saw them in Jan and beginning of Feb 2017. Yesterday, I saw only Aug 19 and 20, 2017 and 3 days ago, I saw Aug 12 and 13.
In my last 2 years of log using my DRI points, I've never seen Hyatt Coconut more than 178 days in advance. I seen almost all Sat and Sun check-in days of every weeks (only Feb I never seen) of the last 2 years, 6 months in advance.
May be it is an II rule where DRI points can't see Hyatt resorts more than 6 months in advance and may be some other brands don't have this limitation.
Or may be it is another II glitch.

Yes, it was an OGS, but the October weeks I saw yesterday were sitting there for instant exchanging.

I started this thread yesterday at 7:45am. It was sometime before that between 6:30 and 7:30.

Couldn't the explanation be an owner deposit? I don't know the Hyatt system but surely their owners can deposit more than 6 months in advance?

Hyatt control the deposit. Hyatt owners can't deposit. They book with II using their points directly and can search up to 1 year max (OGS too and not 2 years like most of us). This is the grid they use:

May be the week was there for seconds or DRI points is not allowed to book Hyatt in more than 6 months (another II rule) to explain why I didn't see it yesterday.

This wasn't yesterday. It was early Saturday morning. They were there for a while. I did tests for about 30 minutes using a wide variety of deposits.

Did you see it by searching for HCC (II code) or by area or all destinations ?
Some people have reported that II gives different result depending how we search. I search with II code. This could explain why I didn't see it if you didn't search by II code.

I searched by HCC. It's included in my daily morning searches for driving distance desirable destinations.

But again you kept referencing Sunday. I did not see the weeks at any point on Sunday. It was early Saturday morning. They were gone by the time you said you were searching.

FYI, my computer is searching 100 of II code simultaneously every minute, 24 hrs a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.......
Geez, I am speechless, but if that floats your boat, go for it.

Are you seriously posting to TUG that you're running a bot that searches II continuously? If so, this is definitely a first for me.

I think Interval tweaked (for the worse) the trading power of the kind of deposit needed to see a Hyatt. I can only see for example the August Sedona Hyatts with a summer southern California beach week (non-Marriott), but nothing with my other summer weeks.
