I can't find anything about this business on TUG or anywhere else. They are located in Solana Beach, CA and advertise as a reseller that charges no upfront fees. I am asking for an acquaintance who wants to sell their timeshare but doesn't want to hassle with the selling part of the deal. I have also mentioned the Redweek full service option to them.

Any information would be appreciated.

Listing it here on TUG would be pretty hassle free. If it's cheap, put it on the bargain deals for him. If you're not sure, one of the bargain deals forum rules is "This will also serve as the place to ask "is this a good deal or not" for those of you who happen to be looking for items for sale or rent!" So I think you could ask on there if his is a good deal for what he's asking.

Of course I could be misreading that line in the rules.

I agree with this. They were just looking for some options. We'll see - it may be in the bargain listings soon.

Scammers now know it is passé to ask for up front fee!

So, they get all the paperwork signed and a couple weeks later come back with full price offer probably what you paid or more. Your juices start flowing. Then a couple days before closing a problem(use your imagination) arises that can only be resolved by you wiring money, say $2K to Podunk!

Of course, you will be reimbursed at closing which will take place day after end of earth.

Listing for sale here or any where is a matter of looking at deed, copying info, adding MF info and other conditions.

Many PCC's and other less-than-savoury operations thrive on owners who "[don't] want to hassle with the selling part of the deal."

There will be some work required on the part of the owner. Many of these outfits claim that, for a fee of thousands of dollars, they will take care of everything and the owner will need to do nothing.

So, unless your friend wants to be taken for thousands of dollars, may I recommend using a little "elbow grease" to try to find a taker for his/her timeshare?

After discussing the options with my friend, I mentioned the obvious - had she called the resort and asked them to do a deed back? She called them and asked and guess what - they are taking it back. She has to pay the closing costs but she is thrilled. For her this was the best outcome.
