Hello, I have a timeshare with Club Viva (one week per year) that is interchangeable among seven resorts (Viva Wyndham) in Mexico, the Bahamas and the DR. There are nine years left on a 30 year contract and since no weeks were ever used, there are 30 weeks available over the remaining 9 years. The yearly maintenance fee is $560. I've contacted Club Viva and they are not able to provide any assistance. Would anyone care to offer suggestions for what this might be worth? Thanks.

Probably less than the transfer fee it would cost to transfer it to someone New. My guess would be an all in cost of $0-1000 if you were really lucky to find the right person. If the resorts are mandatory AI with a cost of more than $100 per person per day the all in cost someone would decrease depending on the AI fee.

sadly this sounds like a vacation club vs an actual timeshare..there tends to be no resale value on those unfortunately :(

Did the Club indicate that they would allow you to cancel the remaining 9 years? If you let them keep the unused inventory perhaps they will allow you to walk away? It beats paying another roughly $4500 in fees over the next 9 years if you know you won't use it.

Haven't brought this up to the Club yet but appears to be the best option. Thanks all.
