We spend a few weeks each summer in Newport, R.I. and there is daily maid service at the resorts. I leave $3.00 per day, and also at Pollard Brook which has daily maid service. When we go to the Royals in Cancun I leave $5.00 per day. The maids there clean my unit like they are cleaning the streets of Cancun after a party, and we are very neat people. I always tip the maids when I am at a resort. On check out day I leave an envelope for whoever does the final cleaning. I doubt the maids have any money left to take a vacation on their small salary, and they spend their working life cleaning other peoples toilets. Shesh!! We spend about 4 months a year traveling. I feel very blessed.
