I am midstream with a Hawaii resale timeshare purchase. Three months have passed and the deed recording has still not been completed. The closing company tells me this is typical - the wheels just turn more slowly in Hawaii they say. I'm starting to get worried and am questioning the expertise and integrity of my closing company.

Can others who have previously gone down this path confirm what is the typical time required for a deed recording in Hawaii?

Which resort?

What is the name of the resort? All the Land Court timeshares are being de-regestered out of Land Court now, which could be part of the hold up.

Marriott Ko Olina is the resort.

Actually, after I posted my original question the closing company responded with an update. The deed recording was accomplished almost a month ago but the closing company never notified me.
