We need a shuttle from our cruise ship when it docks in Yokohama, Japan into Tokyo.
Green Apple shuttles are unavailable. Only alternatives we can find are limosines costing over $300. We are seniors, and don't want to take the train with our luggage. Would appreciate suggestions/ recommendations from Tuggers.

Doesn't the cruise line offer something?

Yokohama is really just a suburb of Tokyo. There is a Narita express train direct to the airport, and luggage is no big deal-everyone has it on that train. Otherwise (if you are going to a Tokyo hotel) the cruise line will have shuttle buses, then take a car/taxi.

As suggested, www.cruisecritic.com is the best source for ANY cruise related question.

No. Celebrity Cruise line offers only a shuttle to Narita airport that day. We have hotel reservations in Tokyo for 8 days. We booked through Crucon and they don't offer anything at all (only the cruise.)

No shuttle buses available into Tokyo, have tried repeatedly online. Just limo service or taxi over $300 USD. We presume per trip, not PP. In addition to being seniors, I have a foot problem and am really not up to hauling two suitcases on the train. This transport from the Port of Yokohama to our hotel in Ginza is the only remaining reservation we need to make. Thanks for your recommendations.

Under your circumstances, the $300 car may be the best alternative. Incidentally, we took that same cruise the reverse direction on Millennium 2 years ago. Loved it except the Russia stop.

Hi Jim,

What did you not like about the Russia stop?

I could go on. It was April. Dirty snow. Broken sidewalks. Dirty. Little English, except T-shirt peddlers where the tenders took us to the ship. The authorities kept us 6 hours extra bcuz they misplaced 2 passports. Port was Petropavlosk(sp). We stopped for cheap fuel.

If you take the cruise line shuttle to narita airport, then you can take another bus shuttle to your hotel in Ginza. Check with your hotel at Tokyo to see whether the airport shuttle bus stop at your hotel. It will cost about $30 pp each way whether you use airport express bus or the narita express train

Please do register for Cruise Critic and then go to your sailing's ROLL CALL. I believe this is it:http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=2506864.
You may find others needing transfer from the port to Tokyo as do you and you can see if they wish to share. Or perhaps, you can join in with fellow cruisers who are looking for others to join them!
Good Luck and have a wonderful cruise!!

I guess there are quite a few Celebrity cruisers here, including yours truly. Enjoy your cruise. Discussing your options with X is certainly the way to go.

Envious! We are newbies. So far 2 cruises with X, one in 2016 (Alaska), one in April 2017 (TA to Rome). Next 2 booked for 10 nights in Italy and Greek Isles in Apr 2018 and 14 nights in SE Asia in Dec 2018. After these 14 nights, we will either be 31 points from Elite or will be Elite if we bump the SE Asia stateroom from Aqua to a suite. We were in a suite for our TA and it was great.

We are on the second cruise on the Edge. Are you following the construction of the Edge on Cruise Critics?
We are sailing the Reflection in April for our 50th Anniversary.
