Shell Vacations Club - Arizona
Shell Vacations Club - Hawaii
Hello everyone. First time poster here.
We have been happily enjoying our Shell Vacations ownership since 2002. We have a relatively low amount of points split between the Arizona club and Hawaii club. We are by no means experts and have probably not used our points to their full potential, but we've been on many great vacations throughout the years and have enjoyed every one of them.
We are currently out on the Big Island in Hawaii and went to an owner's update (read: sales pitch to buy more points) and have learned that we are not able to access any of the benefits to the Wyndham merge because we haven't upgraded our membership (i.e. buy more points).
I've noticed that you can get "free points" out there and was wondering if we were to get some off of the resale market would we be granted access to the Wyndham benefits? The salesperson said "no," but wondering if that was completely accurate? The points available through the developer are sooo expensive.
Thanks!
