This is a Canadian resort.. You'll want to use a closing agent who has experience with the resort and process.
If it is a non-deeded points ownership the entire transfer process will be handled by Shell directly. I have a description of the transfer process and requirements at
http://www.timeshareforums.com/foru...tions-Club-transfer-fee-and-requirements-info. Please be aware that Shell has been purchased by another timeshare developer, so you'll want to reconfirm everything..
If this is a deeded ownership, then a Canadian solicitor or notary will be required. In this case, ask the resort directly who they recommend. Dorothy Clarkstone handles many resorts, but not all.. If you have to use a solicitor- make sure you ask whether or not that solicitor will represent both sides of the transfer. I had a case in the past where the resort referred me to a closing agent who wanted to insist on two seperate firms being involved in the transfer which would have been ridiculously expensive.
