Received a rental inquiry from a posting I have on MyResortNetwork.com from:
Email address sp6844203@gmail.com
Name given Steve Parker
Telephone number 321-209-2308

When he returned the rental agreement to me as an email attachment, upon trying to open it I was directed to an 'email login page' to be able to access the purported "rental agreement" attachment (a known scam method). Above is the email address and name he was using.

He also left me a voicemail afterwards. It was a male voice with a very heavy accent, almost impossible to understand. A telephone number search led me to the below link, which shows others reporting not just timeshare but other types of scams:
http://800notes.com/Phone.aspx/1-321-209-8354

And of course in the initial email inquiry to me he asked if I accept Cashiers Checks - another red flag. While some people legitimately use them many scammers do too.

Caution to all!

Something similar just happened to me this afternoon...I am positive this was the same guy mentioned in the original post

Received a rental inquiry from a posting I have on MyResortNetwork.com from:
Email address yankfnmike@yahoo.com
Name given Michael Bonfiglio
Telephone number 321-209-2308

Just like the above story, it was a male voice with a very heavy accent, very difficult to understand. The accent did not sound like it was native to either North or South American continent. And it definitely wasn't Italian.

Written English wasn't good either. The last email started "Glad to read back from you"
