<snip> .... just a little nervous about the process

If you rent it out yourself, you can promptly answer questions about the resort and the area that an "agent" may not be able to answer as quickly (...if at all), despite their commission. Also, if you rent it out yourself, it is a bit easier for a nervous would-be tenant to verify that you are the actual owner of the interval.
Finally, if you use an agent, you risk their getting a bit greedy and overpricing the rental, thereby risking it ultimately not getting rented at all.

Do it yourself (IMnsHO). Yes, it takes a little bit of effort, but advertising is simple and rental contract templates are easily obtained. A commissioned agent can't really do much for you that you can't do for yourself --- without paying a commission. Good luck.

For me this advice depends on what you own. If you own a high demand Marriott I believe the only and best choice is Redweek.com. By far the cheapest, most effective way to rent a good Marriott. For anything else I'd recommend using all the other options out there to flood the market with your offer.

Tug, eBay, RedWeek, AirBnB, Homeaway.com are all good options depending on how desirable the week is.
