If an owner of a week at a resort deposits that week in the RCI points program can that owner later rescind that deposit and use the week?

Anybody know when a new RCI Points Directory will be released? I think the most up to date one is the 2013/2014 one, so I think it's probably overdue

I got that link from a sticky here in TUGBBS somewhere, I can't remember where exactly. It goes through 2017.

Once the week is turned over to RCI, RCI has it -- period.

There is no procedure I have ever heard of for undepositing a timeshare week once it's been banked with RCI, points or weeks mox nix.

I would say it is way cheaper to own RCI points than to exchange wyndham points through RCI, because there are RCI points timeshares with way cheaper mf/point ratio and you still have to pay the same exchange fees in RCI either way. Plus if I'm not mistaken, don't Wyndham points convert to RCI Weeks and not RCI Points? From what I've heard RCI Points seems to have a lot more availability than RCI Weeks(I own RCI Points not Weeks). You could get a Grandview Las Vegas timeshare with 122000 annual RCI Points with mf's less than $800 and that would be roughly equivalent to a 600000 Wyndham which you'd be hard pressed to find any cheaper mf than $2400

Yes, the best use of club Wyndham points is inside the club, club wyndham points bought resale can access RCI weeks inventory. However, if you want specific resorts and high demand weeks on Wyndham resorts you'll do better with club wyndham points than RCI exchanges.
