How do the weeks need to line up? (for those that have done this)

Week 1st check out on Day 5 of the month lets say

Week 2 must have a check in day of......?

Day 5? Day 6? Day 7 of the month?

If certain resorts calendar don't quite line up, how does it work? Thanks everyone!!!

As long as the multiple intervals you're booking line up on the calendar from one week to the next, it's okay. For example using resort calendars that allow Thu/Fri/Sat/Sun/Mon check-ins, a Thursday check-in for Week 10 could be followed by a check-in 11 days later, on the Monday of Week11. This would allow you travel time and/or a short hotel stay between your two timeshare weeks (which we've done a Fri-Sun hotel in Savannah in between Barony and SurfWatch Weeks.)

Use this link to Dioxide's compilation post of all resort calendars to figure out the check-in days for your resorts; note the "Week No." column on the calendars to figure out which intervals would be consecutive.

That's the page I use. Have it bookmarked :)

So check-in days are irrelevant as long as the week numbers are consecutive, correct?

Thanks!!!

Yes, correct!

The same thing with concurrent stays, by the way, although probably not as useful. We've done concurrent stays at Barony and SurfWatch to host family get-togethers. One year my nieces/nephews who were using the second unit could only do five days so one group of us checked into Barony on Friday while those guys checked in two days later to SurfWatch. When they left on Friday we checked out of Barony and headed over to SurfWatch for the last two days. I've also seen owners do this to get multiple units they rent out, booking concurrent stays for particular holiday intervals and taking whatever check-in days they can get.

Can the weeks overlap at the same resort? Say, Week 1 check out on Sat, but Week 2 checks in on Fri the same week?

Yes, you can use the 13-mos window to reserve stays that overlap at the same resort or at different resorts.

The basic two rules of the 13-mos Reservation Window are that you must use multiple Weeks or components of multiple lock-off Weeks, and, the intervals that you reserve must be concurrent or consecutive according to the "Week No." designation on the resort calendars.
