I've seen Southwind require pre-paid maintenance fees for transfer of ownership at their resorts. Now I see a resort in Bermuda requires two years of pre-paid MF for a total of $3222. I wonder whether CJ Timeshares got stuck with this dud in their inventory when the resort's policy changed?

They have increased their fees over the years to the point where it is nearly cheaper to rent from the resort. From what I can tell people have just been "jumping ship" and they are trying to curve that from happening by requiring the two years of maintenance fees. The closed the golf course and a restaurant or two on the resort. I believe they opened the restaurants back up, but the golf course is still not open.

The St. George Club was the first timeshare I sold when I started doing resales back in 2007, and I don't think I have sold one since.
