Playa 3BR owners - anyone managed the following trade?

Locked off Playa Andaluza 3BR and gave II the studio which was for check-in Sept 3 2016 which has been and gone. Am trying to get either a 1BR or 2BR unit at Marbella checking in Sept 16 2017. Have had the request in for over a year now.

So far nothing, am I asking too much? September's a popular time but other owners have told me this can be done. It's my first ever exchange with a studio. If it doesn't come through we'll be at Playa for 2 weeks next Sept but "slumming" it in the studio portion for the first week which doesn't appeal!!

I have not tried for one of the Spanish MVC resorts in September, but I have locked off our Playa Andaluza 3BR and used the studio successfully as Request First with II to exchange into Phuket Beach Club in November (Platinum season) for the last 3 years in a row.
(II do now charge an upgrade fee for these exchanges though)
