I am an RCI Points member and have a general question about Weeks resort reservations using an ongoing search. With my RCI Points account, I can not set up an ongoing search for Weeks, like you can with a Weeks account. So . . .

1) Being a Points member, how do I setup an ongoing search for Weeks resorts? Do I need to call RCI to do this for me or is there anyway I can do this online?

2) What is my trading power, being a Points member? I've read before that a phantom account is setup with only mid-range trading power. Will I be able to get any Weeks resort that becomes available, or are Points members limited by less than stellar trading power?

cr4909,

Ongoing Weeks searches for Points members must be initiated by Points Guides.

Trading Power is set high, based on the fact that an equivalent unit will be provided from the Points system depending upon the unit confirmed from the Weeks system.

The mid-range comment you read about applies to VEP. It is set at a mid-point to allow for the greatest number of possible vacations while preventing the lowest VEP resorts from matching. There is no upward VEP restriction for Weeks reservations made for Points members.
