Does anyone know whether some of the 1 BR units have "ocean view" if I am able to get top floors? Just wanted to make sure they are not all city views. I don't want to book 1 BR+.

I had a 1br (Not a 1br+) unit awhile ago, and had a pretty decent view of the ocean. I was on a high floor on the north side of the building, and had a nice view of the ocean to the north. If I recall, the neighbor building on the south side of the building was much taller than the one on the north side, so I would assume the view to the south might not be as good. But definitely get a higher floor.

Higher is better

We had a north side 1BR on the 11th floor. The view was acceptable but definitely gets better the higher the floor. We enjoyed the room however not as much as our 23rd floor 3BR oceanfront :) Awesome view!

We stayed in a 1 BR on the 4th floor and were very unhappy. Very hard to see any of the ocean, but we had a marvelous view of the dumpster, along with the daily emptying.

None of the rooms really have a "city" view, since none of the units face the street (North Ocean Boulevard). They are either "oceanfront" (the one and two bedroom plus and the three bedroom units) or "ocean view" (the standard one and two bedroom units). The oceanfront units are all facing the beach with true ocean views.

The ocean "view" units are on the north and south sides of the building. If you are below about the 10th floor on the north side or about the 15th floor on the south side, you will only have a partial ocean view from your balcony, since there will be a building opposite you. The balconies are angled toward the ocean. From the higher floors you will be able to look out over the top of the adjacent building and have a much wider, unobstructed view of the ocean.

While you can always request a higher floor, there is no guarantee you will get one. If a full ocean view is important for you, then you will have to pay for the upgrade to a one-bedroom plus. We stayed in a one-bedroom plus on the 12th floor in November and loved it.

Stayed last week in a 2br ov. Was told by a staff member anything over the 16 floor has a great view.

Personally, I did not see the value in an of, as there is no sliding door in the master. So no sleeping with the door open listening to the ocean.
