We will be staying at Paradise Village and first time in the area. What are the best restaurants in the area and for the nights we are in PV which are a couple shouldn't miss restaurants? I only been to PV once over 10 years ago so sure the scene has changed. Is taxi also best way t get to the hotel?

Sonora Al Sur in Nuevo Vallarta. I like to say you get a great steak at chicken nugget prices...and you can bring your own alcohol (at least wine, I don't know about other types). Check them out on yelp at https://www.yelp.com/biz/sonora-al-sur-nayarit They receive 4.5/5 stars for good reason!

We went to Mason Bay in Bucerias last year. It is close enough to the water that you could toss a baseball out the window and hit it. Mexican cuisine and a few ex pats there. We had to ask a cab driver what was a good restaurant, and he took us there. Good food, good prices.

Any chance you're going to be there over Restaurant Week (May 16-31)? If so, you should peruse participating restaurants and their very discounted menus here - https://restaurantweekpv.com/en/participants (click on more information for each restaurant's menu). We try to make it down to PV every year for this - PV is such a fun "foodie" town to explore.
