There are probably a number of good choices but I am partial to the Marriott Marquis on Times Square. We have not been there for a few years but it had a very good concierge lounge and the standard rooms were larger than at most hotels.

I work from my home but have an office on Park Ave that i work out of from time to time. If I have to work consecutive days I sometimes stay in the city rather than take the train 4+ hours per day and spend almost $100 in train fare. I've stayed at both the Marriott Marquis and the Marriott East Side. I would say the Marriott Marquis has a much better gym but the Marriott East Side had a much better executive lounge with a nicer breakfast and evening fare.

For the Marquis, (we're a family of six) will the two doubles and pull out in the deluxe room fit us? Hoping for an upgrade like what Sheraton did for us in Tokyo Bay even though I'm but a humble Gold elite. They even offered club level rooms, but we refused because we already unpacked. The East side looks too small and does not offer the rollaways. Thanks for the recommendations.

There are only 4 Marriott hotels that can accommodate 6 adults in Manhattan. The East side and the FF Inn at Penn Station seem to be the best. The Essex and the Marquis are the other two. It depends on how much you want to spend and where you was to base yourself for what you want to see and do.

I have never seen the lounge at the Marriott East Side, but when we stayed at the Marquis it had one of the best lounges we have been to in the U.S. That was a few years ago, however.
