I am so overwhelmed with all the information on timeshares or vacation groups. I would like to get opinions on what would be my best option for vacationing one week at a time or two shorter vacations a year 3 and 4 days. A family of 4, 2 adults and 2 children ages 10 and 8 with an option to have 2 additional adults. I live in St. Louis and would like the home location to be Branson or Gatlinburg areas but am open to suggestions. We are OK in some off season dates if necessary. Any help is greatly appreciated. TY

Wanting to do Branson, and short stays. Look at WorldMark about 12K account will get everything your looking for, plus almost 70 different places you can stay with out external exchanges 2 of which are in MO
A WM account generally costs .32-.35 cents per credit fully loaded w/2 years of points. So expect to pay around $4500 with transfer fee. WM trades in both RCI or II. They do a thing called Instant or Flex Exchange where you can trade into II or RCI for only 4000 credits any size unit if exchange made close to checkin. You do have to pay for a RCI and/or II account if you want to exchange with them.

Or look at a Grandview Vegas, 98K or 122K RCI Points contract. Branson is easy to exchange into. This is your lowest cost to entry and will give you a lot of flexibility to vacation up to 3 weeks with the 98K account or more with 122K. Both have same MF's so over a few years 122K is a better deal but 98K accounts typically go for less than 1/2 the price. 98K accounts go from $300-$1000, while 122K accounts go for $2.5K-$4.5K

Bluegreen and Westgate are in that area, but I would recommend only trading into them. If you do get one the Blugreen one has a bonus where you can stay for $79 per night any time you want if space is available, but only at the home resort if bought resale.

Wyndham is there also, I would buy CWA before either of there 2 locations in Branson, MF's are on the higher side there. Trust me I own one of them. But with their recent issues if you are not an owner currently I would sit on the sidelines for awhile, to see if they fix the mess they have created

Marriott has property there that sales for resale pretty cheap, but MF's will be a lot higher than other two options listed above, but they are pretty nice, but if you have WorldMark you can trade into them via II.
