We have an exchange into Mountainside Resort at Stowe for February 2018 in a 3-bedroom. If anyone has stayed at Mountainside, we'd appreciate any feedback. We've read reviews. Some Tugger feedback would be appreciated.

FYI, our exchanges are normally to Trapp. We have stayed once at the Village Green. We are familiar with Stowe, so the request is rather narrow: What anyone wants to share about the resort itself.

And yes, it is 2018. Shocked to get the exchange this early.

No comparison

You know Stowe, so the Mountainside Resort is on the mountain road between the village and the ski mountain. Not a horrible location.

However the resort is a collection of pre-fab, uninspired buildings and I doubt if there are any actual on-site amenities worthy of the name.

Admittedly I haven't seen the place in several decades, but it was a very early timeshare development done by a Florida company back in the dark ages of timeshare.

Check TripAdvisor but I'd bet it's not highly rated.

Sorry.

Thanks for replying, Sullco2. No one here at TUG has reviewed it in an age. Recent TripAdvisor reviews are fairly favorable. The resort seems to be updating the rooms now, so we may have something decent when we arrive in 2018. We aren't all that picky, either.

In case you are interested, we decided to keep the exchange and not try the "retrade" feature II has. We like Trapp quite a bit, but every once in a while going somewhere else in Stowe gives us a different perspective. We had a very nice swap with a couple here on TUG. They got our place in Lincoln, we went to their place in Village Green.

My husband and I exchanged there about 5 years ago. We really enjoyed the place, especially the huge deck. It was in the fall, so we spent most of the time outside. What I remember was very small bathrooms and bedrooms with pretty nice size living/dining area. The kitchen was adequate though narrow. It was fine for the 2 of us and we would go back again.:)
