After making my latest DVC reservation I am left with 14 BLT 2018 points...and I know I want to bank 2019's points into 2020. I also have a BCV contract with the same use year that has 2018 points available.

My question is can I mix my BLT points with my BCV points for a reservation on the same night at the 7 month mark. I've searched and the only information I've found on the topic is a disboards thread from 2003 that suggested it should work fine since the two contracts are the same use year. But I was hoping that someone with more recent experience might be able to opine. As always, thanks in advance.

Points can indeed be mixed as I have done several times PROVIDING that they are on the same Membership #. You can see Membership # groupings online in your dashboard. If the BLT and BCV contracts are listed together, you are home free !!!

Yep, you can absolutely do this. In fact, I do it all the time. I often have half my reservation made with OKW Points and the other half made with BCV Points. In fact, the point selector tool will help you with this. You pick which contract you'd like to use first then pick the one you'd like to use second. In your case if you want to make sure to use those BLT points up-- pick that contract to go first. If you have any other questions I'd be glad to help. Marylyn

The only time you couldn't automatically combine them for a single night would be if they were different UYs (meaning different Membership numbers - first five numbers are different). Then you would have to transfer points from one contract to the other to combine them. You just cannot borrow transferred points, so you have to be careful how you transfer your points.
