Marco island Everglades tours

we will be at charter club over Memorial Day and would like a recommendation for an Everglades swamp tour for 10 adults and 1 child

Get a Marco Review magazine in your lobby and check out Jungle Irv's, down towards Everglades City. If you want to see alligators, just drive south on US 41 past 29 and turn left on Turner River Rd. Drive back along the dirt road, be careful if you stop your car and get out to take pictures - there are hundreds of them

We have taken Everglade tours two different times when we were using our week 52 on Marco Island. Both times we just drove to Everglade City with no prior reservation. One was a fan boat tour (ok, but didn't see much wildlife) and the other was a boat tour through the waterways that was run by the park service (lots of wildlife). Sorry, I don't remember more details on the tours, but as Sea Six said, there is plenty of tour information in the Marco Review magazine.

Charter club has kayaks, sailboats, and some other toys that you can use while staying there. Won't see gators, but lots of fun. My husband didn't notice the gator til he was six feet away on the golf course last week.

You can get the latest issue of Marco Review online, too. It just came out last week or so.
