I have made an exchange for some friends of mine, and was wondering what the huge daily fee covers?

I read that there is a lounge with breakfast and evening cocktails are the use of that lounge included in the daily fees?

A few in S and VA, a single resort in NC, MD, PA, and UT, plus Jamaica and the Bahamas
I think the only thing you could say it covers is daily housekeeping fees. It's a just because we can fee. Exchangers do not get access to the lounge.

There is daily housekeeping and Internet. There are free newspapers that you can read up in the lounge. There is a small fitness room and a business center with 2-4 computers and printers.

You do have access to the lounge but the only thing free there is coffee and some cookies from 12-4 or 2-4 each day.
They serve a continental breakfast for a fee and in the evening have a cash bar.

All of the above was included before there was a fee and when there was a $15 fee and a $34 fee....you get the picture.

It is the Hilron Club that no longer allows exchangers to use the concierge lounge which has free food and drink from 6am to midnight. That is a real loss. I am going the week before Christmas this year and I will really miss that access.

thanks guys

I read on their webpage that RCI exchangers do get access to the lounge, but it didn't say if you had to pay to use it and if anything was included.

Please see my post above ...... It is free to go into the lounge and sit down and relax. There is a charge for everything else except the free afternoon cookies and coffee.

The poster above who stated exchangers don't get access to the lounge was confusing the Manhattan Club with the Hilton Club. This is a recent change as it was always included before.

I suggest you just call the MC and ask them about the lounge then report back here with what you learned since you don't accept what you are reading here.

Wow, that's not how I read @Cyberc's post at all. I read it to say, thanks for the information because the only other information available online was very limited (that exchangers do have access to the lounge, but no info on fees/costs/freebies). I didn't see them questioning your information at all.

Since the RCI website doesn't specifiy charges, I suggested OP calls to clarify for themselves what is and is not included and then share what they learned.
I don't see that as a bad thing especially since the thread contains conflicting information.
