Kauai Beach Villas is changing management companies from Wyndham to Grand Pacific in January. I know Makai Club did the same a few years ago. What was good and bad about the change? How did it affect your maintenance fees?

No longer own

I no longer own my timeshare at the Makai Club. It was being managed by Wyndham when we sold it.

Bumping this thread up.... in a couple of posts regarding Kauai Beach Villas it has been reported that Makai Club has improved since GPR has managed it. I would like to hear some specifics about the positive changes they have been able to affect at Makai Club.

Hi it may be me , but the workers seem to be much happier, friendly. I like that they now have beach chairs and I don't have to run to the offiice and hope I can get some before any one else check in.
I like the fire pit that that installed, I know that the other calif. timeshare also has one.
My unit was ready when they said it would be. I just feel like they care about the owners and the timeshare

Thanks for that insight. From the reviews on TUG, it looks some of the renovations at that resort were already inflight before GPR took over. Are those accts accurate?
