Im oh so close to my buying into his program. Thanks for all the amazing threads, comments, and feedback. I'm buying this timeshare with my mom, and we'll need a minimum of 2 double beds. I'd hate to always have to book a 2 bedroom, even though they're fantastic, because we are only getting 14K points per year. Any idea on how limited our options are? I'd hate to only have 3-4 resorts with 1 bedroom and 2 beds. If I'm buying into this program, I'm not sleeping on a sofa bed!

We've stayed at five HGVC properties here in Florida in two bedroom units. Some of the resorts have one bedroom units but the bed in the master bedroom was a king bed. Even some of the older, smaller resorts we've stayed at had a queen bed in the one bedroom units. I've never stayed at any resort that had two double beds in a one bedroom unit.

I could be wrong but I don't think a one bedroom with two double beds is common but take a look at the room descriptions for the HGVC resorts you're interested in visiting.

For example, I know some of the HGVC Hawaii resorts offer a one bedroom with two double beds (see below)

From Kalia Tower - https://club.hiltongrandvacations.c.../kalia-suites-by-hilton-grand-vacations-club/
1 Bedroom (1DR)
Size
785 sqft Accommodates 4 guests
This spacious one-bedroom, one-bathroom city/mountain view suite with balcony features a master bedroom with two double beds and bathroom with a standard shower/tub combination. The suite includes a generous living room with separate dining area, TV with cable, PlayStation 3, and queen-size sleeper sofa, as well as a full kitchen with rice steamer.

From Kings Land - https://club.hiltongrandvacations.c...nd/kings-land-by-hilton-grand-vacations-club/
1 Bedroom (1DR)
Size 924 sqft Accommodates 4 guests
This spacious one-bedroom, one-bathroom golf course view suite with lanai, located on the first floor, features a master bedroom with two double beds and bathroom with a free-standing shower and separate soaking tub. The suite includes a generous living room with HD cable TV, DVD player, and queen-size sleeper sofa, as well as a full kitchen with rice steamer and washer/dryer.

because we are only getting 14K points per year.
Wow, 14K points starting off is a sizable amount of points. I have heard some working with around 4800 points. It is all in your perspective and how many times per year/days/room size you are trying to use points.

need a minimum of 2 double beds.
. Of the places that I have visited (I am limited to Valdoro, Sunrise, Ocean Oak, Ocean 22, Anderson), I can not think of any 1 Br which have two beds. All of the 1 Br are one bed. Of course, I know of several 2/3/4-Bd with 2 beds in the second or third bedroom. There are studios with 2 bedroom, but who wants a hotel room on vacation. I think that you have access of the room configurations (https://club.hiltongrandvacations.com/en/resort).

Of course, I haven't been to some of the bigger locations such as Orlando, Las Vegas & Hawaii. I am sure others will add their comments.

I think some Kalia and maybe some Hokulani units have this configuration. I was shown a one bedroom unit with two beds in Kalia when I took a tour as part of a VIP package.
