What a terrible thing. I feel so sorry for the people of London. Last year we walked across the Westminster Bridge many times during our stay at the JW which is right next to the bridge. Such a beautiful city to have such a tragic incident. We see these things in the news too frequently. It seems to hit home harder when you recognize the place from your visit.

Yeah we were just there the end of Feb. The first picture I saw it looked like it was taken right at the entrance to the Marriott County Hall where we stayed and i know you did too.

Strange happenstance is my last international trip the same thing occurred. I was in Beijing in 2013 and one day after I was walking at Tiananmen Square at the same spot a terrorist drove on the sidewalk and killed I think 5 people.

Can someone explain How in such a protected place with Screening of every person coming in can somebody carry a bomb inside... it's the failure of the event security... blame them and hang them for their failure to do their duties properly in protecting children and London...

You made me think there was an additional attack in London. That would be the same thing as saying there was an attack in Boston and you saying the attach was in NYC.

The attack was in Manchester. NOT LONDON.

Same here. I was like, "Another attack in England within 12 hours?"

This is an older thread, so the earlier comments are in reference to the London attack earlier this year.

In any event, it's another terrible incident. We have family near Manchester, so hopefully they are all safe.

This thread was brought out of moth balls by a first-time poster, in post #3 - generally, this means that they are responding to a few old threads to try to "fit in" and then they will post spam.
