Had our 2018 Renaissance Aruba week available and was looking to see what's available next year. Saw a 1 BR week of July 20 - July 27 was open so we grabbed it. Figured it'd be neat to spend a week out there. I may have a conference in San Francisco 8/1, so it will work out well. If no conference, we'll probably tack on an Alaska cruise after.

Haven't been out that way for year; the last time was with the kids so this trip will be nice.

Any insight?

Good trade for that time of year. We stayed there several years ago and enjoyed visiting the wineries in the Napa and Sonoma Valleys.

The resort in not fancy, but the location is very good. We had a 1BR unit, which is really a mobile home set up. Not very big, but it had everything we needed. During the summer all of the units will be on site. We were there later in the year when they remove many of the units due to potential floods of the river that runs right next to the resort. Fortunately, we didn't encounter bad weather, so no issues.

As I recall the staff was very nice and friendly. One of the activities was a wine tasting event. We wenjoyed that, although we did most of our wine tasting at the wineries.

Have a great time.

Best regards.

We did this in the fall once when the leaves were turning. It was beautiful and we liked the accommodations. Like Mike said, it had everything and was neat as a pin plus a great staff. I remember that we were on a corner right close to the walking path next to the river.

We also took advantage of their Limousine service that the resort had available three times that week at a discounted price and we really enjoyed that too. One day was to San Francisco.

Some of the wineries are are beautiful just to see besides tasting wine.

Emmy, we agree with you about visiting many of the wineries to see the beautiful settings even if one doesn't drink wine. In fact, my DW doesn't drink, but she loves the environment that the wineries provide. Many weddings take place at some of the wineries.

Best regards.

Mike
