Interval International just charged me $10 for updating a search. Have the rates gone up? And why would they charge an additional fee for a search already in place?

FWIW, the TUG Sticky here appears to need updating. Is anyone up to the task?

I have not been able to find any place where I.I. lists their fees. Should it be this difficult to find them?

You are updating after they raised the fee by $10 for online ongoing searches.

What tschwa2 said. Every time you update a search it creates a brand new one. That's why it takes you to a payment screen every time and sends an email like you created it from scratch. The system charges the current fee minus what was already paid, which is usually zero, but in your case it is $10.

Hmmm....Is it really a band new search? Do I not retain my place in line...based on the day I initiated the original search?

There isn't a line except possibly when two people have the exact same highest trading power of everyone with a request for that unit. That isn't likely to happen but if it does it is anyone's guess on who get's the unit.

With II the one with the highest powered deposit will get the unit even if they just submitted the request the day before against someone else that had their's in a year ago.

The email indicates that it is a new request but it is possible it is only new for the changes, but ultimately it really doesn't matter.
