Hi all, this is my first post and I am new to this community.

I purchased my first timeshare at Palace View in Branson a few weeks ago. I purchased it on e-bay for $36 and paid $198 for transfer fees. The seller paid all other fees and the $750 prepaid MF's required by spinnaker.

A friend got a week at the Palace View for my wife and I last fall and we liked it. So, we were familiar with the resort. We live in easy driving distance of Branson and plan on vacationing there regularly.

Here is the description of listing:

---------
Unit Size: 2 Bedroom / 2 Bath - Sleeps 8 - Lock Out
Week Number: Week floats from week 10 to 52
Resort Check in Day: Saturday
Week Rating: Red
Ownership Type: even year usage (every other year)
Ownership usage will begin: 2012
Estimated Maintenance Fee's $515.00 (Free usage 2012, 2014, and part of 2016
Maintenance Fee's: Due January 1st every other year
Closing Costs including Resort Transfer Fee: $198.00

I've received the deed and owner ID number from spinnaker.
I'm awaiting an email with confirmation from Spinnaker so I can log into the member area and check out the details of how to use my timeshare.

I have a couple newbie questions. How far in advance should I need to make reservations for a week at my timeshare? Are there any tricks to dividing my week into 2- 1 bedroom weeks?

Thanks for any help you can offer.
Jim

Depends on which week you want

The earlier the better if you want a prime week, you have a 2 bedroom lock out which is 2 one bedrooms, just make your reservations as 2 1 bedrooms, Greg

You did fine.

I have gone to Branson for a week or two for last 10 years and have not had an availibity problem although I am with Wyndham and they have 3 resorts.

Based on II Demand Chart weeks 22-30 are very high demand and others scale down from there. If going then, the sooner the better, in Wyndham world 13-10 months.

I generally go first two weeks of May, Veterans week or week after Thanksgiving and a few months out is no problem.

I have 3 BR lockoff floating week and simply call reservations and tell how I want to split at earliest possible date!

As a general rule with time shares the earlier the better.

Since you are going to use no need to pay for $89 RCI membership!
