How easy is it to exchange via II into Lagunamar?

I put a search in OGS for all of 2018 and just wondering if I will have any luck in hitting a unit there? thanks

You should be fine (I assume you are using your SDO unit for the VSE preference). But I would opt out of September/October weeks; it's hurricane season there and your trip could be washed out.

(We exchanged in last year and have a Getaway for this December; it is a great resort.)

We have gone to Lagunamar twice in September and have had beautiful weather both times.

It used to be easy to exchange into a 2 br almost any time of year. For the last 2-3 years, bulk deposits are smaller and mostly smaller units.

I think it will depend on unit size. If you are looking for a 2BR, I think a match will come through but it will be a lot harder than if you are searching for a 1BR or a studio. I haven't seen a 2BR unit sitting in instant exchange inventory either searching myself or reported in the Distressed forum in a long time. I would have to think at least a few 2BR owners are depositing their entire unit. Though I suppose it is possible for Vistana to still lock it off and deposit each side so II/ILG can maximize income with two trade fees.

There are a ton of small units for this fall, but I suspect it is because of the pool closures this fall.

There were some a few weeks ago for this summer through Oct 2017 but I rarely see 2 bedrooms. Lots of 1 bedrooms and studios. There were some Getaways fairly reasonable as well. Last fall we got in also in Oct

I own at Lagunamar and last year when I was depositing a bunch of 2BR LO units it forced me into putting each side in separately. I didn't explore why and haven't deposited since. Lots of people have commented that Lagunamar 2BR is an especially hard exchange compared to a few years ago. Maybe through marketplace would be better???

I wonder if you could reserve a studio and a 1 bedroom for the same week and try to get them together. I know there would be no guarantee
but I think they would try.

Yes, I'm using my SDO, two bedroom unit... Thanks for the advice about September/October... Would November be ok to leave in?

Ugh, thats a bummer... since I'm using a 2 bedroom I want to exchange into a 2 bedroom...
