looking for any opinions on what is a fair/reasonable deal for an HGVC resale 5000 annual point package? I see several listed in the 3k range and then the closing and transfer fees on top of that. MF's seem to range around a thousand bucks or so. I have also seen packages for slightly less money out of pocket to get around 3400-3800 points a year. I already have 5800 points a year and looking at picking up more points to go with my current allotment. Obviously trying to be as cost sensitive as positive as I am already paying 1300 in maintenance fees a year. So even wondering if I should be looking at an EOY resale instead. I feel like I need at least a two bedroom now when we travel so picking up some extra points might make sense? I'm torn on the direction to go or just stand pat with what I have. Also, any reputable people or companies offering resales that anyone can recommend is much appreciated.

How long have you had what you have, and have you used all your points each year.

I personally have 2 EOY (one even and one odd) 4800 point packages, and have been looking into getting another 4800 points/ EOY this way I can borrow enough to have 7k points (2BR for a week plat instead of 1BR for a week Plat). I like the idea of being able to scale up or down in my ownership with EOY packages and the idea of paying nothing for them (many of them can be got for nothing or nothing plus closing and fees).

This way, as my family needs change, I can make small changes.

I always seem to use my points. Although this year, I think I will have 200 leftpver. Not sure it is worth the money to save them. I keep going back to the option of just hanging on to what I have. Just wish I had more points but not real excited about having higher MF's to accomplish that.

I have 3BR at marbrisa. 5800 annual gold season. Fees were all in around 1400 which includes the Hilton club dues as well. Had this about 3-4 years.
